Bundi is famed for its miniature paintings. There is a highly-reputed school in the town, as well as a style of miniature painting that was developed in Bundi.
The amount of detail that goes into such small pieces of art is incredible. . .they are called "treasures of the nation."
What to buy: As well as admiring the murals in the palace, and shopping at the school's store and other miscellaneous shops for silk-backed paintings, you can also have miniatures done on your nails.
I don't really have nails to speak of, but Berengere had an exquisite painting done on each thumbnail ~ it was fast, inexpensive and such a novelty!
What to pay: I can't recall, but I would guess around 50 rupees (2 USD) for both nails.
