Jaipur has domestic flights connecting it to Delhi, Mumbai, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Aurangabad, Calcutta and Varanasi. Indian Airlines and Jet Airways fly to Jaipur. The Sanganer Airport is about 12kms from the city.

    Air:-
Jaipur is connected to all the major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Jodhpur, Udaipur. Recently, flights to Dubai have also started from Jaipur by Indian Airlines.

    Bus:-
Rajasthan Roadways run deluxe & air conditioned buses from Delhi (Bikaner House, Nr. India Gate) to Jaipur. The roads are very good, and it takes around 5-6 hrs from Delhi. You can also come by taxi which is still cheap if you're converting to USD.

Jaipur - Istanbul with Air Arabia

Air Arabia is a low cost company whose hub is in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates, who targets towards some of the foreign workers in the Emirates (Indians, Nepali, Somali, Egyptians, Turks, etc.).

Since it opened a daily flight from Istanbul (the smaller airport, Sabiha), Air Arabia is a good choice for flights from Eastern Europe to a number of destinations on the subcontinent, including Central Asia.

In a few words: e-tickets only brought online, reservation number is enough, new Airbus planes only, friendly staff, reasonably priced food on board.

Unbeatable price: Jaipur - Istanbul (via Sharjah) less than 200 EUR, taxes incl.

Jaipur Airport is located near Sanganer at a distance of 13 kms from the city of Jaipur. Many domestic airlines connect the city to all the major cities of India including Udaipur and Jodhpur as well. Flights for Delhi and Mumbai run on a regular basis. The airport has been granted the status of an international airport and connects to the foreign cities like Sharjaha and Muscat too.

How to get around?: Rent a Rickshaw and visit Jaipur

The easiest way to visit Jaipur is to rent for a whole day a Rickshaw. First of all, you gotta be definitely clear to the driver. He will drive you some times into some shops, where the seller will pay him a commision. So, if you do not want to get stressed all day long, be clear with him, maybe pay him something more, but in this way you are sure to avoid those stuff.
The day could beginn with the visit of the Hawa Mahal, then he could drive you to the Monkley Temple and the Fort. After visiting the amzing Monkley temple you can rest a bit in a bar beside the buildings, wehere the atrmosphere is pretty relaxed and where you can chill drinking something cold, as here the temperatures are definitely hot!
After that he could drive you back and reach on the way Jal Mahal and get you back to the City Palace and the Jantar Mantar.
After all that, he could drive ytou to the Tiger Fort and leave you in the Flower Market.
In this way you visited all the sites of Jaipur in one day, and on the second day you can reach Amber fort and spend here few hours.
For such an itinerary (considering to avoid all the stops in shops and so on), do not pay more then 200Rs total.

Simply wait for a Rickshaw and bargain!

  • luxurious and silent air conditioned buses ply from new delhi to jaipur and vice versa every 2 hrs from bikaner house, central delhi area in new delhi and from sindhi camp in jaipur. they are very comfortable and there is no long queues for tickets. cost is about 460 indian rupees

when in jaipur, travelling by cycle rickshaw in the pink city area is a better option. if you have the inclination you can also cycle your way through and watch the old city.

You can take a slow elephant ride to climb the hill up to Amber Fort. The elephants will take up to 3-4 passengers. These elephants don’t appear to be abused in fact they look like they are well taken care of. Part of the cost in your ticket goes to the elephant owner, part to the elephant welfare fund, a some to the archaeological department and for cleanliness.

    Jaipur Train Station

  • I arrived from Agra at about 8pm...and was amazed to see the entire concourse covered in people! They had all bedded down for the night, and I had to negotiate a route through them. The Manager of the Jaipur Inn told me that many were professional...such as bank clerks...who lived in outlying towns...and used the station to save hotel costs!

There is an overnight train service which runs to Jaipur from most of the major points around the country. The Shatabadi Express provides a fast, air-conditioned rail service from Delhi.
