    If you don't have the time to explore the fort (as we did), go to the roof top of Haveli Guest House. In the Jharokha Restaurant you can enjoy a cold drink and you have a very nice view to the Fort.

    The Jaswant Thada is a beautiful white marble Maharaja memorial that can be seen from the top of the fort.

    Aside from shopping there are also the market stalls selling fresh fruit and Indian bread to nuts and all kinds of wonderful spices. All fresh and tempting.

    The clock tower is an imposing structure and a popular landmark in the old city and can even be seen from the Mehrangarh Fort. The clock tower was built in 1912.

    There is an excellent view of the city from here. Looking down from the ramparts, there is a sheer drop of 37m. A large wooden wheel is at one end which used to help bring the water up to the fort.

    The upper storeys around the courtyard were part of the zenana from where the royal ladies could look down on the activities in the courtyard. Zenana’s are the women’s apartments where they secluded.

    The Moti Mahal has five alcoves which lead onto hidden balconies. It was there that the five queens are believed to have listened to court proceedings. The wooden ceiling is adorned in gold leaf.

    As you approach the foot of the centotaph from the walkway alongside the lake you will see the tomb of Jaswant Thada on the left. There are three other memorials on the grounds.

    This is a cenotaph of many Marahadjas in the 19th century, a little bit on non beaten paths, the interior of the temple is super, the environment a beauty for your eyes of the camera.

    This was some small palace near to the fort and as i remember it is built in the honor of some Maharaja- King Jaswant.

    That was nice, quiet small building, and for 100% made from marble.

    Jodhpur also has a very big fort and it looks really beautiful. It takes some 15-20 minutes to walk there from the city center, but the view from there to the blue city is uunforgettable.
