Jodhpur is well connected by railway lines. Trains to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata are easily available. The 'Palace on Wheels' also visits this city of royal splendor.

There is a sink in a first class cabin!

Jodhpur can easily be reached by train from major cities in India. E.g. it's 620 km from Delhi, about 9 hours ride. A first class sleaper ticket costs 1731 Rp and can be booked online.

Omed and me after a damn long bus ride ;-)

We took the bus from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur and also from Jodhpur to Udaipur. Both ways are quite convinient, since it takes only 6 hours.

Getting around Jodhpur will include the use of Taxis, Auto-rickshaws and Tongas (horse drawn carriages). A taxi stand is near the main railway station.
