Luggage and bags: What you don't bring with you, you can buy in India. Don't pack your luggage full, keep enough space for the goods you will buy there (things are cheap in India if you bargain smart).
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Long sleeved cotton shirts, trousers, hat, suncream, sunglass, good sport shoes.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring your own home medicines, but you can find almost everywhere pharmacies. Antibacterial hand gel.
Don't need to bring toilet paper, you can find places to buy.
Photo Equipment: Camera & Batteries is a must otherwise you won't be able to show the feeling of real India at home.
Miscellaneous: you can buy everything and usually at much cheaper price than in Europe or North America.
Always drink enough water (and lemon soda).
I hope its helps you!
Take care!
