Silk Paintings

There are many art schools in Udaipur that keep the silk painting craft from the Mewar empire alive. They will demonstrate the craft showing the paints, fine brushes made from squirrel tail and the gold sheets used. It is part of the selling scheme and sometimes they will ask you to see their shop when really they are a tout paid to bring in customers. Of course everyone needs at least one painting.
