All shops at one place.Only thing is dont have good restaruants in this plaza.Yah have one food court at ground floor,but only selling icecreams/coffee/samosa :).
To shopping or not,but nice place to do window shopping&chill out.
Ajantha Art Gallaery at first floor can buy gifts&handicarfts.VBC Jewellers for shopping Jewells its ground floor.
West side for cloths,mens&womens wear.
Music world for latest to old Music Cds
Its big shop,they have good collection of all type of music.
Land mark is big book shop,corner of the bookshop nice small coffee shop is there.Tired of seaching books can relax here for coffee or applepie.:)
Need changeing of money,corner of the ground floor ,American express forign exchange is there.

The Shopping centre is a good half hour auto ride from the airport. I paid 190 rupee for the ride one way 200 the other. That's probably tourist prices but alas I can't complain both drivers got me to the airport and back as I wanted.
This was a better option than what the airport people were trying to push me into - booking me into a hotel for about 800 rupees.
By the time I arrived at the shopping centre I had about 6 hours to waste and last minute shopping to do. This place has everything from mens clothes to food. I found an internet kiosk which although in poor condition serve the purpose for an hour.
My favourite find - Subway . I was so hanging for a fresh sandwich.
I was most pleased with a shop in the centre where I bought some good business style pants anda business short. The place was not the cheapest but I got the best service I've ever experienced. The storekeeper even arranged for the immediate alteration of the pants to the correct length and I only had to wait 20 minutes. Leave a Comment Theme: Department StoreDirections: Just tell the driver 'The Spencer Centre' and refuse any other option the driver tries to suggest. After all he'll probably get a kick back to go elsewhere.

Spencers' Plaza is one of the oldest and most modern shopping malls of India. It was in existence much before Mall culture came into cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore or Bombay
Spencer Plaza at Anna Salai(salai means road). Spencer is a Chennai landmark that dates back to colonial times. The original was destroyed in a fire, so the current building dates to 1983, but the newest "Phase III" section has a mock Indo-Saracenic atrium in the style of the original. One of the largest shopping malls in India, it has grown to leaps and bounds. it's an excellent place to buy pretty much anything and everything you could possible want from India. Good food courts on the 2nd levels of Phase I and III.

Apart from the VIPs they also serve the general people with equal care and respect.

They specialise in silk sarees as well as silk materials, they are specialist of Kanjeevaram ( a village 40kms from Chennai specializes in silk Sarees for thousand years), Pochampalli, Ikkat, Bomkai, Kosa etc. This has been their traditional business for centuries and for generations
Well I have seen sarees worth a few hundred rupees and the best one they showed me was for Rs.2 million. They did not allow me to take photograph as the design is custom built and only one piece will ever be made in it's life time. It had Silver and Gold threads with carved work.
