There are many shops selling oils and balms.Eucalyptus oil is locally made here in plenty from the abundant trees that grow here. You could also buy other kinds of oils and balms. The prices are reasonable and the products are good quality.

What to buy: Eucalyptus oil,Citronella oil,neem oil,pain balms,winter green oil(red and white versions)etc.

vpas profile photo
vpas 421 reviews

Shops all over kodai sell chocolates of so many different kinds and flavours. The shops near tourist spots tend to be a bit over prized than the ones near the bus stop.
Don't miss the chance to taste all the varieties before you buy!

What to buy: Almond chocolates, white chocolate, peanut chocolate, mint chocolate, crispies chocolate, rum and raisin chocolate, etc.

What to pay: check in a few shops, more or less the same rate at that time

This is a small shop that sells organic groceries as well as home made food items, such as jams, pickles etc.
Apart from food items you will also get creams, balms, oils and incense --- all organically made.
The shop also sells limited quantities of bread and other baked items and sometimes, vegetables.

What to buy: Cereals,pulses,spices,oils,jams,pickles,powders,spiced preparations,baked items,creams,balms,vegetables,cheese,teas etc.

What to pay: organic products are a bit more expensive than chemically grown products. This shop is as reasonable as organic products can be.

What to buy: * Home-made chocolates - Quite delicious available in different varieites of Cashew, nuts, almonds, etc priced at Rs.30/- per small packet of 8-10cubes. These become a bit sticky by the time we reach our
destination, so place it in the Freezer to retain its solidness and enjoy it.
* Try out the freshly picked carrots, & juicy pineapples.
