The widely advertised light and sound show at Tirumalai Nayak palace is a big disappointment.
The palace is just lit in different spot light colours while dialogue of king, queen and others demonstrate not-very-clear history. The story even jumps from one time of the history to another, making it impossible for those not familiar with the history of Madurai to comprehend what is happening.
There are two separate tickets for seats. However, higher ticket only gurantees you chair with armrest in podium while the others sit in metal chair. The show is never crowded, and thus, makes not difference which ticket you purchase.
The show gets quite dragging after a while. You will find many people leaving the palace long before it's over...
