John's Motives
John Boates was expecting us to be some kind of journalists or writers (I wish) so that we can write about him and create the awareness of his work to setup a park which he will make at least 80 statues of men and women who stood for "peace, love and courage". Among the completed ones, they are Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Abraham Lincoln (broken), John F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana and few more.
Our Roles
Although we are not journalists as what he would expect us to be, but we're bloggers and I think this is something I will be compelled to share with everyone who read my page.
Due to the page length limitation, I will structured the next few tips on why John wanted to create a Universal Peace Part and also slightly describe and try to relate John's work to the stone sculpture industry in Mamallapuram.

Boetes plans to name the park after his daughter, Jody Lee, who made a miraculous recovery after being in a state of coma for nearly six years, following a bike accident. "While recuperating, she asked me whether she would find peace in life. I promised her I would give her a peace park," he said.
"A peace garden will help countries come together. We have come into this world with nothing and we will leave with nothing. All there is to share is love, peace and harmony," added Boetes. (text from The Hindu Article)
The park is a promise from a dad to his daughter, and John is not driven by the monetary gains that he might enjoy from the opening of the park. Where will the park be? John will pick the best offer from people interested to help him to realize his park & deliver his promise to his daughter. Please bear in mind that this project of his is totally charitable and John foresees that the money collected from the park might be put into wrong use, so he is intended to open some hospitals that might be fully financed by the incomes from the park. the whole scene was descent of the Ganga to the earth,the cleft in the rock makes descent of river Ganges to earth the request of King Bhagiratha.Can see two huge elephents .
