For Bullet rentals (350cc) contact Ganesh in Mamallapuram at 9384066777. He'll willingly rent out bikes for months at a time without any limits on where you may want to take the bike in India. I've rented bikes from him for years and if there's ever any problem he gladly takes care. If you have a problem out of state with the bike he'll help resolve that, too - even to the point of coming to get the bike and return it to Mamallapuram himself. If you're in Chennai or Pondy he'll bring a bike to you directly. His English is pretty good so communication with him is fairly painless. Watch out for unmarked speed breakers and petrol thieves!!

I rented this moped from Moonrakers at the price of Rs150 and it served me quite well except that it's quite dangerous to ride such a small bike on India highway.
There is one small little hook welded very symmetry on the handle bar that let you hook your day sack on it without causing trouble or balance of the ride. I was quite impressed with that & before I actually tried to hook my bag on it, I was assumed it's gonna affect the stability of my ride.
P/s: my first choice was getting an Enfield Bullet for my ride but I was born short. ***!
