 6aruna Says:  right across the ASI museum is the government of TN museum.entry fee is nominal.from the outside it does not look as if it housed century old granite idols.The excess are exhibited outside on either side of the building.it also has a good collection of very old spears . 

 6aruna Says:  most of the heritage buildings insde have been taken up by the police training school neverthless you can walk around and enjoy the very old banyan trees planted as avenue trees

 6aruna Says:  This temple situated inside the fort is famous for its magnificient architecture.built by the vijayanagar kings in 16th century it is the abode of lord siva. The temple is at a lower level from sorroundings and has granita outer walls and massive doors with iron lotuses...
