 6aruna Says:  right across the ASI museum is the government of TN museum.entry fee is nominal.from the outside it does not look as if it housed century old granite idols.The excess are exhibited outside on either side of the building.it also has a good collection of very old spears .

 6aruna Says:  the nearest railway station is katpadi which is 5 km away .katpadi is well connected chennai 2hrs ,bangalore ,hyderabad ,trivandrum 14hrs.the new bus stand in vellore is connected to chennai, kanchipuram, thirupathi,bangalore etcthe road from vellore to chennai is excellent.
