Monkeys, particularly rhesus monkeys, live on rooftops throughout the city and are in general pretty tame but take care not to get too close or they will bite.

You can buy it soaked in rose syrup and saffron or dried (which lasts longer).

As the Taj Mahal is a Muslim Mausoleum you have to take your shoes off, before you enter the central building. I thought it difficult to find my shoes, because there were so many .
