Indian food is very tasty but very spicy and my family and I are not use to it. At restaurants I asked them is it spicy? they would say "only a little bit" that means I will feel smoke coming out of my ears. We decided to eat here at Pizza Hut and the restaurant looked clean. I saw many restaurants in Agra but they did not look clean. In addition to this, I went to Agra for just one day and I did not want to spend to much time looking for a restaurant so we landed in Pizza Hut.

Note that the there are quite a few Road side restaurents with Fancy names from the Highway between Delhi And Agra.
They are typically built to server large tour groups specially foreign tourists. Many of the car/bus drivers steer you to these restaurents for Lunch/Tea depnding on the time of the day that you are travelling to Delhi/Agra.
They are very high priced with very lousy food. They only target foreign tourists and the prices are well priced over the locals. You will not see any locals eat there, they can quite easily bill you 5US$ + for two slices of bread and 2 eggs.
Their prices are sometimes well above Indian 4 star hotel rates. The food is very lousy and the mark up is well beyond 200% of any other restaurents.
I paid approx 20 US$ for two sandwiches and two milk shakes which is high even by New York standards.
They even wanted to charge be Rs.40 for a bottle of water that only costs 10 or 12 RS. This is a 30%+ markup.
My suggestion Carry your food from Delhi, if you stop by one of the Sandwich shops like Barista / Subway they can pack some good clean stuff for half the price.
Don't get scammed as well as sick in these high priced restaurents on the Delhi/Agra Highway. Leave a Comment

The rough guide described it as the only place worth going to near the Taj, and it was good.
Just outside on the left by the East Gate, the only place that did not have people outside trying to drag you in
Food was better than the other places we had had in town and a lot cheaper, i liked it

It's airconditioned inside with a large outdoor eating area too, chose inside ourselves (mozzies). Vegetarian options are very good here and all served with a smile, good prices too. Leave a Comment
