Tourist guides that are just full of it, who are trying to trick you and introduce you to the best and "only authorized" photographer in Taj Mahal, who then, will try to make you pose for silly pictures like the one you see here --that was taken with my camera!! gotcha!-- and then the guide will want to take you to workshops where people are still practicing the same crafts like the people who built Taj and then when you are too exhausted and surrendered they will take you for lunch to a really good place they know!!!
Just cross your fingers you are not getting rat poison with your meal since Agra has a history in food poisoning. Restaurant owners are getting really high commissions from private clinics!!
Unique Suggestions: Like I said at the Agra intro, do your reading beforehand and avoid tourist guides, touts and hawkers like the plague.... they are soooo distracting!
As for the food, I ate at Pizza Hut... mwhahaha!!
Also, keep in mind that entrance to Taj Mahal for foreigners is very expensive compared to Indian natives. Like 1500 IRP or something... And after you paid that, they want 25 more rupies for allowing you to carry your video camera through the gate and up to there!! Talk about a money hungry government!!

Along the side of the road between Agra and Fathepur Sikri, we saw dancing bears brought down from Kashmir. This is a cruel form of entertainment, and should be discouraged.

Try to visit Taj Mahal early morning, around 6 , just after they open this monument. Being late, means overcrowded park and you can't take your photos without any unnecessary face on it.
