There are enough of good places to try in the town but this one definitely is the best. Clean, friendly staff, delicious food, fast service, and lets not forget it's air conditioned. Yet prices are just like anywhere else. There are lots of Chotiwala's around. This one is on Upper Road.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned it here until now. If it adds, LP and Rough Guides both recommend it!
Favorite Dish: Vegetable Biryani was Very good. Even the Chinese was good.

This restaurant is on european standard as for cleanliness, the waiter was in addition very attentive -seeing that we came wet and cold (from Rajaji) he brought an electro-heater which was really very nice.
The meals were above standard, the only small imperfection was the long time needed for preparation.

I made a point to eat at Big Ben based on rave reviews from a couple of people I met and a good write-up in Lonely Planet, so my expectations were high. After eating there, my opinion is “m’eh.”
The food was okay – nothing I’d rave about. There’s an extensive menu, so maybe Paneer Sagwala just isn’t a specialty. It had a nice enough flavor, but seemed bland; the naan tasted fine, but it wasn’t hot.
Okay, the concoct-it-yourself fresh lime soda was worth the raves. Fun and delicious!
The wait staff were nice, if a little slow to respond. They let me sit and drink tea for a long time after I’d paid, and didn’t appear to care if I left, even though the place was eventually pretty full. There’s nothing special about the restaurant itself – it reminded me of an old highway diner. If you’re not staying in that area it’s enough out of the way that I wouldn’t bother. There are probably places as good or better closer to the center.

This hotel serves very nice self service vegetarian food for the boarders and who just comes in. The food is always Vegetarian as the City of Haridwar is pure vegetarian.
Food at this place is very good compared to other part of the city. THey also serve A la carte menu on request. As their dining hall, their kitchen is always very clean.
The buffet spreads changes every time for lunch & dinner and even for breakfast. You can expect a variety of menu in every meal you have. Their meal will consist from soup to dessert, from continental to Chinese!
