Favorite thing: Do some shopping of chikan stuff,soon I will be putting a pic of my beautiful chikan outfit.
Defintely eat "chat" at Kapoors, Tundai kabab and paratha and donot miss the royal "Pan".
There are many monuments in Lucknow, some on the outskirts too, all hold a story behind them, so try visiting them and knowing their importance.It's a small city, you can cover it in maximum 3 days so donot leave any monument unseen, all have different architecture and beauty.
If you love classical dance, so you can see a show of "Kathak",there's always one show or the other going on in different theatres, the last king of Awadh(Lucknow popularly known as) was a great Kathak Dancer.

Favorite thing: nawabs were famous for eating pan.
It's a beetle leaves, and are taken generally after lunch or dinner. There's a famous shop below the STATE BANK OF INDIA, headquarter, near the K.D.Singh Babu, stadium where you can get good ones
IMP:
1)ALWAYS IN INDIA BUY WATER, donot drink tap water it can cause infection.
Bisleri,Ganga,Aqua are some good brand names and available on all kiosk
2.)Donot eat or drink anything that is kept open on stall or in shops.
Fondest memory: Food, and that leisure time thats only possible in Lucknow.

Favorite thing: If you want to understand the Lucknowi culture, you should rent or buy a classic film of India cinema named "Umrao Jaan". It is the story of a courtisan in 1800's Lucknow.
