Recently we had a two day visit to our works situated near Asansol. We took the opportunity to have our monthly review and enjoy the beauty of monsoon with the transporters of the works at the picturesque Garh Panchkot hills near Panchet Dam. Garh Panchakot is nearly 23kms from Asansol town and there West engal Forest Department has constructed Guest House, Medicinal Garden, a health SPA & Massage Parlour with Ayurvedic oil. Situated in the hills and amidst deep forest you are sure to have a feeling of the Jungle with noise of animals, birds and insects and absoultely no human or human created noise.
This place has three bunglows with 3 types of guest houses , the VIP enclave has three suites with Airconditioning facility.
A perfect place for relaxing. Best time to enjoy Monsoon and Winter. As this is a govt run place many of the things promised may not be in perfect condition. But the facilities are good.
For reservation one need to contact : W.B.Forest Development Corpn, Raja Subodh Mullick Square, Kolkata- 700007.
