Since Gadiara is a small place there are not many restaurants around. But The Restaurant at West Bengal Tourist Lodge is surely the best at the place. Usually they cook only Bengali meals but on request they can prepare continental dishes and Chinese dishes. Since they have trained cook they can make it.
We had pure Bengali dish as it was late in the afternoon and we did not want to experiment( For experiment we have Kolkata restaurants). We had fine rice, Lentil ( Dal) soup, Fish Curry ( Parshe jhall cooked with green chilly& mustard paste) andChicken curry. It was excellent preparation. Please try their food you will not be disappointed.

Just on the bank of the Ganges there is Resurrection Home for Alcohol and Drug addicts run by Missionaries of Charities ( Brother) or Mother Teressa's organisation. They normally dont allow outsiders or onlookers to peep in but if you are genuinely interested to help then one can approach them in their H.O. Kolkata.
