Travelling during monsoon that is from june to sept is quite dangerous ,it can cause dangerous landslide which will sweep away roads and darjeeling will be cut off from the rest of india,so rainy season is not a time to visit.

its a small town and mostly people return home early by 9 pm roads are silent so dont venture out alone at night ...might meet a few drunkards........
