As said in earlier tip, there is nothing to do but to leave yourself in the lap of mother nature! My every penny is well recovered just by watching my littleone swimming, running enjoying on the beach. I hardly get to chance to see her enjoying and growing in Calcutta! I leave at 8.30 and come back at around 9.30 / 10.00 on most of the day.

Just watch how the children are enjoying!

While in Fraserganj or Bakkhali there is not much things to do relaxing, not attending mobile phones, swimming, walking, or just watch the nature. Those who want to add little spice in their seclusion may take half day trip to "Jammu Dweep" or Jammu Island in the mouth of Bay of Bengal, a journey thru' sea by Fishing Boat for about 3/ 4 hrs to and fro. Then you get time for about an hour or so to get along with the Island, take bath in the Sea, collect shells, watch the Sea Gulls, Tortoise, Snails etc. It's a memorable journey in the fishing boat.

To many it will not look like a tip or may feel it's waste of time but in reality it's another way to help the poor fisherman earning his day! It's a fact the Japanese, Thai, Taiwanese High Speed modern Fishing Trawlers have finished the bread and butter for the poor fishermen of Bengal, who depend on the country boats only! There is not much fish in 100KM diametre of Bay of Bengal! It's either has gone to These Far East countries or as processed food in Europe or USA!

A return trip will cost about Rs.550/- plus tip say USD$ 15! You enjoy the sea and help somebody out there to earn honest living! Please remember he is not begging but just trying to earn honest living.

If you are staying near the beach, what could be better option than walking to the beach thru' the mangrove forest conssting Sundari and other trees. the beach at Henry's Island is a virgin one. Since, it's approach road ends near about 1.5km aroundf the guest house of the Fisheries, it remains clean, virgin pollution free and vendor less. It's great experence to enjoy your bath in pollution free atmosphere! There in no one testing his prowess with a 4*4 on the beach or vendors seeling things in plastics. And the forest is deep vast full of small animals, insects, birds, snakes, snails minus the Tiger! So you are virtually fearless. The beach closes at Sunset, you are advised to come out from the beach before dark to allow the original predators( the animals) to eat and go for hunting!

This is the beach where we prefered to stay. This beach is at Henry's Island, where State Fisheries dept has breeding, cultivation centre of varous fishes, prawns etc. You have to walk a while thru' mangrove forest to reach this place. Ths place mostly remains calm and quite as there are not many tourists and vendors at this place to make this place dirty. Let's see how long they can keep this place clean!
