Favorite thing: The Sunderbans is a paradise for photography. One can return having captured many beautiful memories from this place. The waterways , around every bend , are breathtaking. The gnarled shaped of the trees are unusual and different from other trees. Bird-life is prolific, and in the camp itself , the gardens were filled with flowers all all kinds and colours.
The light itself seemed different. Maybe its the total lack of pollution that makes it so.
Everyone that on our tour was friendly. Even although there is plenty of oppurtunity to socialise, one can choose- take a quiet walk or meet in the "pub" near the restuarant.
We met some lovely people, and new friendships were formed.
The nightly gatherings were fun, sitting around the campfire and watching the dancers.
Richard and I prefer to, and usually do, make our own way in other countries. But this time, we made the right decision to go with a group. I really recommend the Tiger Camp- Tigers or no. Good luck if you should be fortunate enough to see one.
