There are several ones providing different kind of cuisine. For Authentic Bengali cuisine one should try Kewpie's, Aheli and also suruchi. There are several good places serving good Mughlai dishes - Shiraj,Royal to name a few. For chinese food one should head for the China town - Tangra - Good Restuarants are - Kim Ling, Kafulok, Kim Fa and Beijing. One can just go to park street where there are number of good Restuarants serving all kinds of cuisine. Theme: Other

another god-send within the city! This is a coffee-house (much like 'Startbucks,' though not quite as good!) where i ordered the very sweet, very sickly 'heavenly mocha' (chocolate syrup, cream, cold coffee and icecream!) Just a visit here can help you forget exactly where you are - even if only for a short time... It is clean and modern... and air-conditioned. They play Western music and the biggest highlight..... there is a flushable toilet!! WITH toilet paper!! aah... the little things in life...
'heavenly mocha' (chocolate syrup, cream, cold coffee and icecream!) similair to 'starbuck's caramel frappucino' Leave a Comment Theme: CoffeehousePrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageDirections: Sudder-Street area

had a lovely Chinese meal at "The Dynasty Restaurant" in the Lytton Hotel. We splurged, at a cost of around US$12.50 each (with drinks!!) Food was pretty good (one never knows when trying a chinese meal in india) with soup, entree and drinks. exceptionally good value really.
apologies... can't remember what i had, but more than likely a 'sezchuan' dish... i want to say i braved meat (chicken?) but am not totally convinced i was that brave, looking back. Ambience and location are excellent for these two coffee shops. Both are located within walking distance of each other on Park Street, across the street from the Park Hotel. There are many branches all across the city and these are places for college students to hang out.
The mochas and lattes are great, ask them to go easy on the sugar if you're diabetic though, Indians have a sweet tooth! Theme: CoffeehousePrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: least expensiveAddress: Park StreetDirections: Opposite Park Hotel
