Hundreds of stores in Park Street: Anything in Park Street

by Kumarjit Updated Jun 29, 2006

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Sizzling Park Street on a casual evening, Kolkata.

Park Street is one of busiest places in Calcutta. it is a place where you will find everything, from books to clothes to food - anything you wish. You can buy jewelleries in Oysterz Bay, books and novels from Oxford Book Store, choose from a wide variety of clothes in the garment stores, buy music albums for Music World, air tickets from the airlines offices, watches form The World of Titan or any other shop, mobile phones from the Nokia Showroom and top it all up with a light meal at One Step Up! or at Barista. If you wnt to eat any special cuisine, then you will find lots of quality restaurants waiting to serve that delicious Korean Rice or the pungent Paneer Butter Masala.
And if you want to go to a pub, then there are Magnolia, Tantra and lots of others for you!

What to buy: Jewelleries, clothes, toys, gifts, food, watches, shoes, books, anything you wish . Park Street is a place where you can get most of the things that you may be needing.

What to pay: Park Street is an expensive place. However, the amount you spend on buying something depends on your choice and the quality. On a shopping trip you can expect to spend INR 5000 to INR 50,000 (USD 120 to USD 1200).

The Metro Plaza: Clothes and others in Ho Chi Minh Sarani

by Kumarjit Updated Aug 15, 2005

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    The Metro Plaza in Calcutta

Calcutta is a big city with many colourful shopping malls and one among them is Metro Plaza in Ho Chi Minh Sarani. The shopping centre is huge with many shops for clothes, jewelleries, leather goods and such things. You can choose from a wide range of clothes and jewelleries. However, you should know what to buy and how much you can spend. It is surely going to be a nice shopping experience for you there!

What to buy: You can shop for the Western or the Indian clothes or even for the leather handbags and other such things. I usually prefer this complex for buying denims and formals.

What to pay: How much you can spend depends entirely on your budget. The expenses may range between INR 1000 to INR 20,000( USD 30 to USD 400)
