shatabadi trains
One of the best ways to reach Chandigarh (from Delhi), is the Shatabadi express trains. There are two trains every day- or maybe three. The trains are pretty fast, dont stop at too many stations on the way and is the fastest way to travel between Delhi and Chandigarh. It takes about 3 hours, and the train continues further on to Kalka, after Chandigarh- for travellers that are headed to the hills around Shimla.The Swarn Shatabadi is the regular one, which includes meals and snacks etc. Fully airconditioned- chair car, and executive chair car. The Jan Shatabadi is one which is partly non-ac. similar chair car seating- which seems reasonably comfortable- in right weather... It dosent include meals- which you will need to buy from the railways vendors that will make frequent visits to your coach. There are usually 2 or 3 coaches that are airconditioned on the Jan Shatabadi.
