    The iron pillar

Favorite thing: One thing you cannot miss in the Qutab Minar is this column, built around 400 AD. Scientists have not discovered how this 7 metres high iron pillar, which is of such purity that it has not rusted after 2000 years, could be cast with the technology of the time. It is said that if you can encircle the pillar with your hands whilst standing with your back to it, your wish will be fulfilled!! (I did it ;-))

    Favorite thing: QUTAB MINAR MOSQUE
To get there, take the bus 505 from Ajmeri Gate. Entrance 5R.
The big tower, part of a greater religious complex, was built in 1193, immediately after the defeat of the last Hindu king in Delhi.
Notice that each 'level' of the tower has a different decoration, though it is all red coloured.
