Kandahar: Best Indian Restaurant in Delhi?

This is quite possibly the best indian restaurant in Delhi. The staff are friendly and attentive and will recommend you dishes if you aren't sure or can't decide. They are also pretty discreet and not too OTT. The ambience is nice, it is downstairs in the hotel, soft sitar music and pretty quiet in the early evening. The kitchen has a glass front so you can see everything being cooked.

Favorite Dish: The tarka daal here is the best I've ever tasted!

Kandahar, the 'frontier' restaurant at the Oberoi Hotel. Three foot long naans are only the beginning. Not a bad entree in the menu. I know, because I had em all! The service is unparalled. If you stay at the hotel, ask for the lamb samosas. Available only on Room Service. Thin crusty shells, spicy lamb inside. Caution, the accompanying dip is encaesed in saran wrap. Take it off before you embarass yourself!
Only one reastaurant which serves that kind of food, which is better, and its in San Francisco!

Favorite Dish: Start at A, go to Z.
