The Delhi Half Marathon is said to be the World's Richest and Most Prestigious Half Marathon. Generally held during November, it is the build-up event to the 2010 New Delhi Commonwealth Games. It has been held for three years now and will continue till 2010. The popularity has increased over the years. In the first year, the number of people participating was 4000, which increased to 8000 the next year and in November 2008, the third year saw as many as 30,000 people from around the world. The distance covered is 21.097kms. The present prize money is USD 210,000 and the last year's winner was a runner from Ethiopia. Participants here range from students, players, actors and actresses, industrialists to senior citizens.

There are 16 hard courts and 2 grass courts, a swimming pool, gym, and a pro shop too within the campus.
The venue also hosts Davis Cup tournaments often, where top tennis action takes place, and it usually attracts large crowds of students and other tennis enthusiasts like me...
Some of my vivid davis cup memories are India vs Croatia, vs USA, vs Chile, vs Sweden, etc...
I remember some of Leander Paes' big Davis Cup upset wins at this venue (apart from one famous one against Goran Ivanisevic at NSCI)

The Delhi Development Authority has a number of sports complexes around the city.
They offer a range of options- golf, tennis, hockey, soccer, basketball, badminton, swimming, fitness centers and of course cricket- amongst other sports.
The Siri Fort sports complex is one of the first, and probably one that offers the best facilities. The recently innagurated indoor section is slated to being one of the venues for the 2010 Commonwealth Games In Delhi.
There are various similar sports complexs in different parts of town.
Membership ranges from corporate membership, to temporary 3 months and daily casual usage options.
