Chhatarpur Temple is located on Gurgaon-Mehrauli Road, in South Delhi.Chhatarpur Temple was built by Swami Nagpal Maharaj, who was a great devotee of Goddess Durga. The legend left this corporeal world in the recent years. Erected in white marble, the main shrine is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani (a form of Durga). The main feature about this temple is that its construction doesn't seek any end. The structure of this temple gives the tint of South Indian style of architecture.
Inside the complex, there are several shrines that are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha, Radha-Krsihna and Lord Rama respectively. On the main entrance, there is an ancient tree that is covered with holy threads. People tie threads or bangles to this tree with the belief that their wishes would be fulfilled.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and was built by the Hare-Rama Hare-Krishna cult followers in 1998.It is one of the most lavish and grand temples of the city. A fine example of architecture, it sports 'Shikharas', rising to a height of 90-ft above ground level. The temple has air-conditioned hall. The fine art paintings by Russian artists here depict lives and events related to Hindu mythological characters, like Radha-Krishna, Sita-Ram, Laxman, Hanuman and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
There is a museum in the temple which organizes multimedia shows to explain the philosophy and teachings of Ramayana and Mahabharata.

One of the famous beaches found in Delhi is the Varkala Beach. The beach is lined up by the coconut palms, much of which are rooted in the cliffs that lie adjacent to the beach. The cliff is stretched for about two kilometres. Varkala is noted for its serene beaches, beach activities and the presence of backwater regions in its vicinity. The undulating cliffs, vast sea beyond and the shades under the coconut groves make the place a popular tourist destination.

Hire a ricksaw and get a tour of the old market lanes. Our trip probably lasted 30 minutes and cost 100 rupees plus tips. What a bargain for a fantastic experience.
The lanes have whole roads dedicated to selling individual products. Fabric, jewels, car parts, text books. Unusual combinations but it is a great experience and the lanes are a lovely place to explore by foot as well.
It is such a colourful and vibrant place, my words can't do it justice, but it is so worth a visit.
