Sarojini market: shopping area

by 6aruna

This is a vast area of rows and rows of small shops and vendors selling clothes, home furnishings, shoes, beauty products, and lots of other things. Just walk around and see people shopping. Best time would be the evenings when the heat is tolerable .Otherwise you can get a heat stroke gaping at shops and losing track of time.good if you know how to bargain. I am poor at that so didn't buy much.bought a few paintings dirt cheap and one cotton dress whose colour ran and spoiled my other dress So net effect not so cheap. clothes shoes and home decor

DLF place: Shopping mall

by 6aruna

First look it resembles some mall in Dubai. Spacious, air conditioned and clean with huge parking area. Mainly upmarket designer things, hair and beauty saloons. Top floor is for restaurants and cafes. One area is earmarked for bakeries, light foods, pizzas, coffee vendors, ice creams etc etc . To buy food you should first stand in line for a food Debit card and swipe this card at the various shops . You get a discount for each purchase. Value for money if you are a foodie or hang out there often . I saw mothers having a cosy evening around a cup of coffee while their children went merrily swiping their cards.

Shopping at Red Fort

by victorwkf

When you enter the famous Red Fort of Delhi, there are 2 rows of souvenir shops selling all sorts of stuff e.g. local crafts, souvenirs, postcards, clothings etc just below the famous Lahore Gate.If you are interested, you can move around and compare the prices. Remember to bargain hard because the prices have been marked-up significantly. The exit is via the same way, so you can leave the shopping till the end of your Red Fort trip.
