Discover the depths
by cherrybug
Diving is wonderful in the coral reefs surrounding Kadmat and most dive sites are relatively near the shore (which is great if, like me you suffer from sea sickness!)There are a number of sites of differing depths. The four sites I visited were:Jackpoint: I went to 18 metres to see napoleans, gobis, lobster, trigger fish and morays. Caught one moray having a clean out!Cross Currents - you guessed it, a drift dive down to 21 metres where I saw my first white tip reef shark along with turtles, butterfly fish amongst shoals of copius smaller fish.Junior Shark Alley - 20 metres down to see more white tip reef sharks, pufferfish, turtle and my first ever manta ray! Beautiful!!The Cave - Yep an underwater cave to poke around in where I saw turtles, morays and lots more. This site has an extensive coral garden at 18 metres which is just stunning. An unforgettable dive. And all with fabulous...

Tour the local village
by bradbeaman
Agatti is an island with 8,000 local population. You can get an Auto Rickshaw and see the village. If it is during Ramazan like it was when I went the tour started at 10:00 PM. All the locals were incredibly friendly. The auto rickshaw driver was an excellent guide.
Lakshadweep

In-order to reach Lakshadweep you may take a flight to Agatti Island from Cochin. There are two airlines operating from Cochin, one is Kingfisher Airlines and second is Indian Airlines. You may also reach from Cochin through ship.Sheesh
Head to the West for the Sunset
by cherrybug
Sunsets are a particular attraction of Kadmat not least because you only need to walk a few metres from your chalet to be on the west side of the island. The jetty is on the west side and there was nothing better after a days diving, snorkelling, sunbathing (and sand fly bite scratching) than to sit on the edge of the jetty watching and taking photographs of the sunset. Different every night they are always worth watching, letting your mind drift and feeling especially privilaged to be in this beautiful part of the world. Magical.

Boat trip to Tinnakara Island
by Bradut
Just across the lagoon there is Tinnakara, the twin island of Bangaram. This tiny peace of land is basically inhabited. One can see some very basic huts used by the local fishermen once in a while. The beach is incredible, with throngs of crabs and crab holes, bended palm trees, white sand. You can take a small boat from the Bangaram Resort. It will get you to Tinnakara in 15 minutes for about 20$.Once you get there, you can walk around the island in about 1 hour. Then, you can climb on the lighthouse, which will give you some fantastic views over the palmtrees and the sun setting behind Bangaram.
WATER SPORTS / BEACH ACTIVITIES / EXCURSIONS
by vinodcia
There is nothing much to see or nothing much to do except for seeing the marine life and watersports activities. As you can see in the pic... these are the things that u can do throughought he trip. All these activities are conducted by Goa diving a company that is based in Goa and they conduct such water sports activities in places like these. Also you can go for excursions or spend a night to nearby uninhabited islands. Only do this if youre a dare-devil. I spent 5 hrs alone in Kalpetti island and belive me you would get the feeling of being isolated from the rest of the world.CLICK HERE FOR LARGE IMAGE
