Bohnen: Nice river view

Another nice restaurant opens in Banda Aceh. Bohnen. Sounds German? Yes it is. The owner is half Indonesian-German. They served some of German dishes, but no beer please. Hard to believe if you are Germans, but it is true. For compensation, Bohnen has a very nice view to the river. Try to come in sunset, the view is spectacular. I like local taste of Wienerschnitzel

Mie Rozali: Huge Crab on Your Plate!

One of the favorite spot for noodle lovers is Mie Rozali in Simpang Lima. Although sitting inside enjoying a plate of hot noodles will break your sweat due to hot temperature, but the noodles is pretty good. Go a bit adventurous by ordering Prawn and Crab noodle. You will be surprised to find huge crab under pile of noodles. Don’t worry, they will also serve you a crab cracker :)

Caswell: Coffee at Caswell

Coffee-addicted welcomes the opening of Caswell in Banda Aceh. Situated at the corner end of Mesjid Al Huda Street, the coffee shop offers pastries and coffee. They also serve fresh latte. Besides, Caswell has a book shelf and frozen food. Cheese cake and carrot cake are among the pastries served at Caswell. The coffee is pretty good. As usual, I go for Latte. They also sell coffee beans for home brewing. Sandwiches are also available. Price is above average for local standard.
