You can go by Angkot from Banda Aceh City Center to Ulee Lheue, its about 20 km and cost you IDR. 3,000,- . At Ulee lheue aligned at Speed Boat Sea Port. From Ulee lheue to Pulau Weh by speed boat is about 45 minutes, the ticket is IDR. 75,000,- for upper deck class and IDR. 60,000,- for lower deck class. The departure of a boat from Ulee lheue to Sabang is twicw a day, it was 10.00 am in the morning and 04.00 pm in the afternoon. From Sabang to Ulee lheue was also twice a day, it was 09.00 am in the morning and 03.00 pm in the afternoon

In almost Aceh Regions, Becak is a common transportation means for the peoples. If you visit Aceh don't miss to go around by Becak, go a short distance and do bargaining for the tariffs. A short distance usually charged by Rupiah 5,000,-

One can go to NAD(Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam) by airplane, the departure should be from Cengkareng-Soekarno Hatta AirPort, directly or transit at Medan -Polonia AirPort- It will be better if make a reservation for the flight ticket at a Travel Agent, frequently it was cheaper than you buy directly at the Air Port counter. There are many flight from Jakarta to Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam: Mandala Air Line, Garuda Indonesia Air line, Adam Air, Lion Air and Merpati Nusantara Air Line

Before, if you wish to have a great time in one of the best diving spot in Indonesia (Weh Island or also known as Sabang), you need to use 2,5 hours snail-ferry. Thank God that it only takes 45 minute, thanks to the speed boat. You can take speed boat to reach Weh Island from Ulhee Lheu port. The boat departs twice a day, morning around 9 and afternoon around 4. Ticket starts from Rp 60,000.

Becak Motor (Motor Buggy) is a popular transportation in Aceh. Although the price is a bit higher compare to the public car, but riding a motor buggy is nice.
Usually visitor won't missed to try it.

The transportation system in Aceh is very good albeit slow the more remoter you go.

Big and medium sized buses bring you almost everywhere (you can even book a 3 day journey to Jakarta) and within the city regions numerous minibuses cover the short distances.

If there are shootings along the routes, the buses don’t leave and then you’re stuck, so don’t count on them if you’re on a tight schedule. This mostly happens on the Western route between Banda Aceh to Medan.

The best alternative to overland travel –if you’re heading towards Banda Aceh- is flying, although Pelni ships also ply on this route once in a while (but the schedules aren’t reliable and it’s extremely slow).

For Ketambe (Gunung Leuser NP), you can take a minibus from Medan or (more difficult) Berastagi to Kutacane, and take a minibus from there. This area has always been free from rebel activity.

To Pulau Weh you can take the daily ferry at the port half an hour outside Banda Aceh.

Take a Taxi from Sultan Iskandar Muda AirPort to Banda Aceh City Center is a convenient one, it cost you approximately IDR. 70,000,- to your destination. Bargaining is a normal condition
