Our driver knew exactly where to take us for lunch.
We had fabulous views of the mountain and lake plus a wonderful buffet.
The Gunung Sari Restaurant is a split level building, very clean, virtually hanging off the side of the mountain overlooking the lake. Top half [where the buffet is situated] is glassed in, while the remainder is an open terrace. Only open for lunch [11.30 - 4.00] with large and varied buffet.

There are many tours to Bedugal from all over Bali.
We took our tour from Ubud with a car and driver that was recommended by Klub Kokos.
The drivers name was Ketut. He speaks english and makes a great guide.

After you get out of your car in the car park and walk to the stairs going down the steps to the Gunung Sari Restaurant, you will be attacked by vendors. They want to sell you pencils,
postcards, key chains, whatever.
Unique Suggestions: Just say no thank you and keep walking. They will get out of your way, until you start back to your car.

Luggage and bags: A small bag that will hold the things that you will need for the day.
You will want to keep it light enough to carry with you because you shouldn't leave it in the car.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Dress neatly and properly in cotton clothing and comfy walking shoes.
You may want a wrap for when you are in the a/c or if you are still out after dusk.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Anyhing that you will need for about 8 hrs.
Photo Equipment: Bring your camera plus film or memory cards. Always take along an extra battery just in case.
Miscellaneous: Bring your sunsreen. It may be cool but the sun will be shining.

Really worth looking for, are the beautifully stone carved buddhist stupas that are located in the park.
