    Pura Jagnatnatha, the state temple, is dedicated to the supreme god, Sanghyang Widi. Although Balinese recognise many gods, the belief in one supreme god brings Balinese Hinduism into conformity with the first principle of Pancasila- "The Belief in One God".
    The temple is quite picturesque and a popular spot for the locals to pray. The shrine is made from white coral. The walls are decorated with elaborate scenes.
    Make sure you bring your sarong. We were ripped off 5USD to hire 2 sarongs!!

    The museum comprises several buildings and pavillions, including examples of the architecture of both the palace and the temple with features like a split gateway and a warning drum tower.
    Inside the pavilions and buildings are a very well set up ethnographic museum, with lots of artefacts. Alot of the displays also provide a great insight into traditional Balinese life!
    Just be aware of the opening times.7.30am-3.30pm Sat-Thur, and 7.30am-1pm on Fri. Cost is 750Rp.

    i really like these streets: a lot of local people going up and down the street. they sell and buy anything, specially thnigs to eat. a lot of traffic and real balinese chaos!
    but always friendly: a guy stop me (he saw a tourist and was very curios) and start talking just for the fun to speak with a stranger, very nice!

    it's a temple in the center of the city near the national museum. in bali there are many temples much more beautiful than this, but if you spend 1 day visiting the city you can visit also the temple....

    it's the big plaza near the national museum and temple pura jagatnatha.
    not so a good place, but here the old king of bali and a lot of aristhocratics suicided themselves insted of submit to holland people..........so maybe you would like to see this place for hystoric interest
