Starbucks is the most popular coffee house chain in the world and it has many branches around bali and about 5 branches spread around the kuta area, namely at JI Pantai kuta in Hard Rock Hotel, At JI Kartika Plaza, at the Ngurah Rai Airport, Along JI Raya Kuta, at the Beachwalk Mall. Do I need a thorough introduction?

Being the second largest coffee growing country in the world, here in Indonesia, Starbucks competes with other international and local coffee houses like Gloria Jeans Coffee, Black Canyon Coffee and KopiTiam for a slice of the coffee culture and is not the number one Coffee House Chain in Indonesia.

we tried their branch at the Hard Rock Hotel Arcade in JI Pantai Kuta just across our hotel the Grand Inna Kuta.

Favorite Dish: everyone knows what starbucks are brewing like the caffee americano venti at 30,000 Rupiah, Iced Latte Venti at 34,000 Rupiah and some regional favorites like the Asian Dolce Latte Venti at 40,000 Rupiah

Starbucks Stores are open from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm everyday

    4 more images

eventhough Indonesia is the world's second largest Coffee Producer of the world and has many native coffee houses, it still accepts international coffee chains and specially here in Bali and moreso at the Prime Tourist Area of Kuta and many international Coffee Brands compete for the slice of the huge coffee chain market of tourists and locals and one of them is the Malaysian Coffee Company called Bangi Kopitiam. Presently, they have several branches in Bali and we tried their branch at the Arrival area of the Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Kopitiam started in Malaysia in the 1960's as a coffee place specializing in Coffee and local meals like Kaya Toasts, cendol, nasi lemak, Laksa, sandwiches and more and since the 1980's have branches around indonesia.

opens: 6:00 am to 12:00 am everyday

Favorite Dish: they have a large selection of coffees like kapi oh, kapi peng, kapi kosong and assorted teas and a variety of malaysian, singaporean and indonesian snacks and food. an order of cold kapi peng is about 25,000 Rupiah and kapi c' peng at 35,000 rupiah an order.

Black Canyon Coffee: Thailand's Coffee Chain Famous in Bali

by machomikemd Written Jan 8, 2014
    4 more images

the Black Canyon Coffee Company, which was only established in 1993 and since then has over 240 branches all over thailand and more than 50 branches in countries in Southeast Asia, Dubai and China. This coffee chain has two concepts, the black canyon coffee and the Caffe Nero by Black Canyon Coffee, both of which offer basically the same variety of coffee but the Caffe Nero Concept has more italian-thai fusion dishes than the regular Black Canyon Coffee and here in Bali, it gives Starbucks Coffee a run for it's money as it has now 6 branches around the Kuta, Seminyak and Denpasar Area. their branches in Kuta are in the Discovery Mall in JI Kartika Plaza, At Kutabex Mall in JI Pantai Kuta (Beach Road) and at the Departure area of Ngurah Rai International Airport.

hell, Black Canyon Coffee is now my facorite coffee chain nowadays as they have better and stronger brews than starbucks.

their branch at Kutabex Mall is open from 7:00 am to 12:00 midnight and unlike other black canyon coffee branches, they have a live band in the evening and also sells beers and cocktails and cigarettes!

Favorite Dish: they have a large selection of strong coffees and thai iced teas and many thai and thai-italian dishes but my all time favorite is the black canyon coffee is the Original Black Canyon Iced Coffee at 25,000 Rupiah and order and the Original Black Canyon Iced Coffee Frappe at 30,000 Rupiah and Order and the thai Prawn Stir Fried Rice at 45,000 rupiah an order.

KFC: World's Number 1 Chicken Chain

by machomikemd Updated Jan 17, 2014
    4 more images

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is the world's number one Fried Chicken Chain and is also popular around Indonesia and at Bali Island. In fact, they have many branches around kuta and other areas of Bali and like in other regions of the World. KFC also offers regional menus besides the tried and tested chicken recipes. one major difference here is that there is no gravy available in it's branches in Bali as anyone knows that gravy is mostly beef based and since most Balinese are Hindu, it is forbidden for them to eat beef and products with beef and hence the sauces available in KFC outlemts here are regular tomato ketchup, sweet chili sauce and teriyaki sauce.

we tried their branch here at Discovery Plaza Mall in JL Kartika Plaza

Opens: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm everyday

Favorite Dish: what elso but the classic kfc 2 piece original chicken meal with large softdrink combo at 35,000 rupiah and the chicken teriyaki combo at 32,000 rupiah and again, instead of gravy, you can either get sweet chili sauce or tomato kethcup as a dip.
