    Stores along Kuta Beach, Bali
    1 more image

At Kuta and Legian, you need not go for shopping as some locals will come to you while you are at the beach and try to sell you various items. Also, some locals will lay a groundsheet and sell various stuff along the beach area. They are rather cheap and worth a look, and remember to bargain :) There are even services such as hair braiding if you are interested.

    Art

Kuta Art Market is a typical market in Bali. Its a great place to wander at sunset.

What to buy: You will find T-shirts, long / short pants, sarongs , shirts ( copy name brands and Hawaiian styles ) shoes, wood carvings, belts, kites just about everything you will need for you stay in bali or your poor friends back home. You will find street hawkers around the outside of the market pedaling fake watches, caps, belts, lighters and anything else they can find.

What to pay: Make sure you barter hard and if they ask for dollars it is US dollars they want.

it supposed to be a shopping arcade with all kind of shops in it. the building is full of fake ornament from a fake giant pinaple to greek god style of statues, all glued to the building as decorations.

it has a giant parking lot (never worry about not get a parking space here) and the food court is recommended because it's cheap, clean and serve all kind of food.

What to buy: home furnishing, food and drink, clothes, etc etc

KUTA ART MARKET: T-SHIRTS AND MORE.......

    SLOW DAY

Most people who go to Kuta end up at the Kuta Art Market at some stage. Don't be mislead by the name.... not much art here! But if you want T-shirts this is the place to come to. All the usual souvenirs are here too.
The day we were here it was very quiet. At least we weren't falling over other tourists, but we did get a lot of attention from the stall holders! They all wanted our money!!
