Bali Packing Lists

If your a shopaholic like me then you dont want to take much in your luggage. I usually just take some clothes with me as i will buy some there so i will need room for that, also i leave some room for toiletries etc and shoes.
But if you like to stock up on stuff then dont take much and take a BIG suitcase!! :)
What i usually do when im leaving bali i have hand luggage that i take onto the plane and in that i take what i need like tickets passports etc but thats it i keep an empty bag so i can put all my stuff in it to declare when i get to the decleration section, it just makes it alot easier if you have all the stuff you need to declare in one bag not every where.
But just keep in mind they can check your suitcase just as a precaution thats all.

Take with u casual and lightweight clothing with u as the humidity & head can get hot, so you need some thing that wont stick to you and is cool to wear.
The best bet for shoes is sandals like thongs or slip on shoes some thing easy to get and off, unless you plan on doing hiking or biking trips then take shoes like joggers.
When going to the mountain it can get a bit chilly as you are up high if that is the case then take a jacket or lond shirt or even a sweater.
If you need to visit a consulate or goverment building in bali please dress reasonable as they do some times have dress clothes so dont walk into your consulate wearing a bikini and thongs.
Temple Clothing:
Bali is full of temples and you are bound to go inside one or near one, if that is the case you must wear a SASH (umpal) around their waist, usually when you get to the entrance they have them for hired or sell to you.
Many temples require exposed legs to be covered with a sarong, especially if a ceromony is going to take place.

If you are coming from disease infected areas you may be required to obtain a International Health certificate, just for precausions.
If you like cheap with your doctor for any injections you may need to get before travel to Bali.
Bali Belly is very common in bali it can give you an upset stomach or to a really sick condition of vomitting and diorea, it is caused by not eating the right food or drink from the taps plus some other stuff, if this happens to you try taking some Lomotil and Imodium which should stop the symptoms but may not stop the infection inside. So rememeber to bring some incase. If you were to get any cuts or abrasions immediately cover with Betadine ro some thing simaliar, you can buy it from any Apotik in other words a chemist or pharmacy.

Bali sells excellent photo film and video cassettes if you have the old cassette video players, we only bring with us one flim for the start and buy the rest of it at the photo place we have never had any problems with the film there.
We also get our photos developed there they come out perfectly fine no dramas, you will get an accasional one that went funny but hey that can happen any where.
You can also get you cameras and video cameras fixed in bali, plus also the lastest cameras and video players at a cheaper pirce then what you will pay at home.

Remember to take a towel and where something over you bikini when going to the beach its just a mark of respect while passing the balinese people. As you may not know you could be heading near a temple or some ones house or there could be a ceremony happening.

PLEASE WEAR PROTECTION if you are planning to meet a bali boy or girl, its the same in every country you dont know if they are carrying any thing or not at all but do take the precautions.
If you feel more safer take your own condoms from home other wise Bali sells excellent condoms from the leading brands from all around the word, you can buy from supermarkets to chemists and to corner shops.
