Mentari Ming Garden: A good, cheap alternative for Bali Hilton guests

2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This is one of the restaurants in Bualu Village near the Bali Hilton hotel. The food is a mixture of local and international and is very cheap - a fraction of the prices in the Bali Hilton.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and grateful for my business. This may have been because tourist numbers were down after the Kuta bombing but that would be a cynical view.

Discounts were being offered on the published menu prices as well as complementary drinks and free transport back to guests accommodation.

Favorite Dish: The local style chicken was very tasty.

Dining by the sea

Because of the high standard hotels,
there are plenty of dining options in the area.

Most hotels offer themed dinners or buffets.
And guests staying in the area
are welcomed to try dining venues in different hotels.

If you go to the northern part of Nusa Dua’s strip,
you’ll find some local venues.

The Sateria

Here you will have a very nice view over Nusa Dua Beach while you are eating.
The staff are friendly and the service are fast.
They start their happy hours between 16-18.
They serve the cheapest breakfast here 60000 Rupiah - 6,11$ and you can ofcourse enjoy it on the beach.
When you pay you will have a surprise - tax was not included and the same with the service charge - totally 21% extra! - but you can just sign a bill and add the cost to your total cost.

Favorite Dish: Pasta, Pizza and the local food was quite nice
