It was my first time seeing this kind of beach exitement, a fly fish draw by a speed boat, at a normal speed it was just surfing above the sea surface but when the boat in its speedy speed then the fly fish flying up into the air, just a few meters above the sea surface.more
The road in Nusa Dua is very fascinating, it was set in a nice green garden view with some statues situated not only at every intersection but also at both side roads. Beside a place for breathtaking, you can also strolling along the road by walking, bycycling, or driving. To enter the area, a security checkpoint at the entrance gate is a regular...more

The hotels around NusaDua are spectacular, just walking along the beach and make a stop, walking around their beautiful gardens and poolareas are fantastic. Start with Melia because its located at the end of NusaDua beach and then go on.Here you can also go for a snorkellingtrip or diving, the reefs are not the best of Bali, but it is quite...more
This is one of the restaurants in Bualu Village near the Bali Hilton hotel. The food is a mixture of local and international and is very cheap - a fraction of the prices in the Bali Hilton. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and grateful for my business. This may have been because tourist numbers were down after the Kuta bombing but that...more
Because of the high standard hotels, there are plenty of dining options in the area. Most hotels offer themed dinners or buffets. And guests staying in the areaare welcomed to try dining venues in different hotels. If you go to the northern part of Nusa Dua’s strip, you’ll find some local venues.more

Very nice staff, a lot of tourists, you have a lot of western people to talk to about your experiences, and the local staff joins the discussions - very nice!
The food is asolutely 1:st class but a bit expensive, the lobster was cheap :)
The pub/restaurant is located close to the beach, you can hear the waves all the time, nice music - but not much of Bali here.
I liked it a lot anyway!
Dress Code: Its up to you
Taxidrivers are chasing everyone all the time, and its not only a result after the bomb, tourists are slowly coming back and the drivers try to get your attention, some are rude and some are not, when you find a nice one, it is easy to make him drive you around Bali, they normally speak English quite well.
We paid about 350-400 000 Rupiah (30 EUR) and that is for a 12 hour trip! petrol and parkingtickets included - fantastic. We had a great time with our driver, and he picked us up every second day during our stay (we had to rest some of the days, and sunbathing ofcourse).
The last day he invited us to his home outside Kuta, we met his wife and his beautiful daughters, we drank some Balinese coffee and some local liquer.
We also visited his parents in north of Bali a few days before and it was quite exiting too, his father served me their local food, a very spicy dish of rice and some vegetables, we took a bath in the same volcanic springs that our driver was plaing with when he was a young boy - unforgettable!!
Because the local government became concerned about the "immortality" of the western hippie communes, which developed in Kuta, it was thus decided to isolate future tourist resorts. The development of Nusa Dua was therefore carefully planned. In the 1970’s the government engaged a French firm of consultants, called the Société Centrale pour...more
It was in the late 1960's that Nusa Dua was justan obscure strip of coast on Bali's southern Bukit Peninsula, with striking white sand beaches and two peninsular islets. It was the resting place of fishermen. The only access was by a road over the Bukit (hill), because the swampy northern shore made road building impossible. The adjacent, Bualu was...more
The massage is quite expensive compared with Thailand (25-30 US$). We found some ladies 2-300 meters from Melia Bali at the beach, that offered us massage and the price was only half of the price asked at the luxuryhotels, it looked o.k but it was all fake, they was just rubbing us with some oil (maybe oliveoil with perfume) and their hands was very sandy, it felt terrible. Try to avoid these ladies. Go for the real thing and pay full price.
The pic shows you one of the zillions small huts for relaxing Balinese massage.
we went for a snorkeling trip close to the beach, they charge I think 30 US. Dont go, save ur money, the reef is really small, lots of boats polluting and making the place dangerous, also there was no safety, I almost drown. You can see on the picture the water is not that nice!
Fun Alternatives: Go for snorkeling somewhere else in Bali.
CAOW ENG BIO is a beachfront shrine located at TANJUNG BENOA, not everyone know this shrine and I visit the shrine by happened when I drive to Tanjung Benoa up to the corner where there is a gasoline station at the edge of the beach, when I continue my trip, I found the shrine on the way out Tabjung Benoamore
the beautiful beach with gentle wave (almost no wave) where people grow seaweed.most activities there are sunbathing, swimming, windsurfing, and canoing.it's an excellent place for swimming since the no wave condition created the beach like a huge swimming pool.if you like taking photograph the place is also recommeded since the combination colors...more
