If you are staying in the Oberoi or Legian you must check out Reflections Resturant just a couple of hundred meters up the road. It has a great lounge area and has an excellent menu. Service was great with a cold towel and free welcome drink when you arrive. It is great value when compared to the Hotel dining room (Kura Kura) and Ku De Ta which are both a bit pricey. Has a selection of Belgian beers.

kue gambir (c) ukirsari by ukirsari i like to address this small cake as "amazing" eateries. wrapped in bamboo leaf [something that can be said almost impossible since bamboo leaf have small hairy things at its layer but we'll never found it in the surface of the cake!]. and to enjoy what is inside of the 'bamboo wrapped in cubical shape', you should open more and more bamboo leaves before finally you find something made from black rice with diced peanuts and palm sugar in the centre. about the taste ... very smooth and sweet in the tongue. this is my fave snack in bali :) Leave a Comment Theme: LocalPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: local markets and snacks shops

No food photo... just the business card by masonwong We had lunch at this restaurant after visiting the Ubud art market. They serve continental food. I had a friend rice with chicken satay for Rp. 44,750 and a glass of mixed fruit juice for Rp. 7,750. The food was just ok. I like the breakfast at Matahari Bungalow more! ;P Pak Putu, the driver, told us that the food there was less expensive compared to that of many other restaurants in that area.
The fried rice is quite interesting though... Leave a Comment Theme: Eclectic/InternationalPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: In Jalan Raya Sanggingan, UbudDirections: About 3 min drive or 2km from the Ubud art market

This restaurant situated near to Legian street has a unique setting. Customers have to take off their slippers and climb up to a wooden hut and make yourself comfortable for the dining experience. It serves Thai food like Tom Yam soup, spicy seafood platter, Pattaya fried rice and some western dishes. Food is ordinary but I like the cozy setting and dining ambience here. Prices are reasonable. Made's Warung - A place where people meet by yipsufen, 1 more photos Made's Warung on Jalan Pantai in central Kuta near the Bemo Corner has been an institution in Kuta since the early 70's. This has been the place to see and be seen for nearly 30 years. In the early days, Made's was the only 'after-hours' place in Kuta. One of the first places to cater to the foreigners when it was one of only two eateries on Kuta's main street.
The service and ambience here are good with some soft and relaxing music. This is always been a popular hangout place for both tourists and locals. Still popular with its menu of local and international dishes and delicious desserts and a rijstaffel (rice table) on Saturday nights. However, you need to make one day advance booking for Babi Guling (roasted suckling pig). Their menu serves a wide array of dishes from traditional Balinese cooking, Indonesian mixed rice, Thai hot & spicy, Italian food to western fare. You are never short of choices. Their beverage list is extensive too, from simple juices to cocktails. If you would like to have some desserts, you can order cakes and pastries. Upper level of Made's Warung mainly cater for larger group with large table. The wooden wall and high ceiling are decorated with many black and white nostalgic photos, making this restaurant more distinctive. A good start to your gastronomical journey in Bali... A very funky place located right on the beach, with great party atmosphere and good live music from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Bands change every few weeks. Expect to find many singles of all kinds here looking for company. If you think this is too noisy, too crowded, or the air-conditioning too cold for you, try the CENTER STAGE at the HARD ROCK RESORT located in the back of the CAFE. As the name implies, the band performs on a raised stage in the middle of the huge round lobby bar until 11:00 p.m. Both HARD ROCK outlets are expensive by Bali standards. Also restaurant serving great burgers, steak and fries before 10pm. Hard Rock Megastore sells all kinds of memorabilia for souvenir-seekers and the ever-popular trademark T-shirts for the avid collectors. Don't get offended when you might be requested to stop for metal / bomb scanning before entering into Hard Rock Cafe. Mertasari Restaurant offers buffet spread by yipsufen, 1 more photos This is probably one of the more famous or nicer restaurant in Kintamani village, I think mainly cater to the tour groups. While enjoying your buffet local food, you can overlook the majestic Mount Batur emitting puffs of ashes.
Although the interior look grand and airy but the food and service here are ordinary. It serves buffet lunch but with limited variety. Try their fish satay and sweet & sour fish which are quite appetizing and worth mentioning. Some dishes are not properly heated up and not replenished. Leave a Comment
