Puncak Sari Restaurant: Great Buffet!!!

by pangtidor

The restaurant has the greatest view of Gunung Batu Bali. Quiet and calm ambience and surroundings. Clean and nice dining room. The staff are great. The price is less than 10US$ but they will offer you for the drink (you will find your drink anyway in the buffet area!!) with 20% of tax!!. You may end your meal with the double priced of buffet.:-))The toilet will be wet, wet, and wet. The toilets kinda nasty during the lunch time. Try SATAY and PISANG GORENG. Great local food.

Bebek Bengil Restaurant: Try the "Dirty Duck" Restaurant

by longsanborn

Bebek Bengil, translated to English, means Dirty Duck. This restaurant has mixed Indonesian, Balinese & Western cuisine. The signature dish of this restaurant is none other than the duck, roasted to perfect crisp. Highly recommended to be eaten with your hands. Other than the "dirty duck", they also have local cuisine like nasi goreng (fried rice), nasi campur (mixed rice set). The mixed rice set is very delicious. This restaurant also prides itself on having the most unique ambience in the whole of Bali. It was built right next to a padi field, with open air huts spread out near the padi field and lotus ponds. The huts have low tables where we sat on the floor with many comfortable pillows to enjoy our meal, and the scenery. To get a place at the limited huts, reservation is highly recommended. Other than the sit-on-the-floor huts, there is also another section with cafe style decor, and...

The Kori Restaurant.: The Best Restaurant In Bali, Number 2

by hayley_69

Step out of the hustle of Kuta, into a world of quiet comfort.KORI's menu, served by smiling, friendly staff, is a tropical blend of Western and Balinese dishes, with the emphasis on flavour and natural ingredients. Fresh local produce is used to create stunning dishes at the hands of Australian chef/patron, Gary Hewson and his team. Together, they constantly experiment, using their combined creative flair to successfully blend new ideas with traditional ingredients and methods. The architecture is pure Balinese, and KORI has been cleverly constructed to accommodate everyone.Secluded dining platforms, covered by traditional alang alang roofs, with large, plump cushions. Singapore Chilli Crab.Fresh Bali black crab, spicy and saucy. Served with steamed rice and a BIG BIB.This dish is DELICIOUS, the taste and the aroma makes it oww so good.Just be careful as this dish is spicy and hot.Some...

Dayu 1: The best restaurant in Bali!!

by hayley_69

Dayu 1 is located in Jalan Bakungsari in Kuta about a 2 minute walk from Kuta Beach and also Matahari's Department Store.Dayu 1 is situated just back from the mian road with all the noisy motorbikes shops and sellers away from you. Dayu 1 is a relaxing and wonderful atmosphere with 3 different seating areas, either room one at the from near the kitchen which is right at the front or room 2 which is in the middle but getting slightly to the back and room 3 is over a little fish pond with a couple of tables available most tables are in the big main rooms.Dayu 1 is a very relaxing quiet restaurant since the bombings but hey thats mostly with every place in Bali.Very simple restaurant with wooden chairs and tables with red checker table cloths, the plant surroundings are just simple plans and trees very calm and relaxing. Dayu 1 was recently upgraded a bit last year some foods and changed...

Street food around Kuta / Legian (called Warungs): Up For A Challenge??

by hayley_69

The first thing people say to me dont eat street food you will get sick it wont agree with you.Well im sorry to say you wrong!!!Well for me i have been going to bali for 17 years i have stayed there i have lived there and of course i have holidayed there, and i have never ever gotten sick from street food, i get sick from to much alcohol instead.I think its the nicest food compared to restaurant food, also it cheaper. I love street food i eat it mostly every day for dinner and lunch as i get breakfast in the hotel. But if you want to give it a try go ahead the worst you would get is only bali belly which is moslty diorrea and if really bad vomitting, but you dont know untill you try. I love Nasi Champur which is a mixture containing any thing from satay sticks to nuts to fish, veges, meats and always accompined by rice.

Bubba Gump Shrimp: "Life Is Like A Box Of Chocolates". (Forest Gump)

by hayley_69

The first thing you see when you past it is a big cabinet giving you displays of the food, of course the food isnt real its plastic, but they give you a display of some of the food you get so you know what you are eating which is a good idea.Plus you also see the big shrimps at the front on both sides of the entrance. When you walk in its like a tour you go through these little like walk ways with all information about the movie called Forest Gump which that is why the restaurant is named after the movie, so it gives you some infomation that maybe you never new before. There is seating area all around the restaurant, so up to you where you sit. The restaurant is in excellent condition it is always keep clean and the service is outstanding. The restaurant is in a great atmosphere and you feel youself that you are apart of it. I love seafood especially the Shrimp New Orleans,so in other...

Mama's German Restaurant: 'Susauges and more susauges'

by hayley_69

The day at Mama's starts very early, or finishes late whichever way you look at it, with big breakfasts. The traditional breakfast one consists of bacon, eggs, sausage and toast also with other condiments. There is also a Farmer's Breakfast, a potato omelette with bacon. There is also a real Continental Breakfast of mixed meat and cheese cold cuts is also available. The sorroundings is fine, in a nice place with shops on each side also right infront of the main road. There is an upstairs and downstairs seating with open arrangments so feeling the wind while eating is excellent. At night is the best when your eating upstairs right near the egde watching all the pretty lights from the main road watching all the excitment go past. The service is outstanding, they are always there to help you. There are TV's downstairs, a bar upstairs and downstairs, a pool table upstairs and toilets upstairs...

KFC - Kuntucky fried Chicken: "There is Still Comfort Food," Part 2

by hayley_69

KFC - Kentucky Fried Chicken, is every where in bali well the main parts. Just like you would get in your own country but with a few different things. You can get the Chicken Oriental Box, chicken burgers, salads, desserts, twisters and drinks. As i am from australia the menu is of course different, i would think they would have a bit more on there menu but really the only main burger they have is the Original Chicken Burger, they did have the Zinger Burger a while ago but it was only a short time promotion thing.KFC is really good and safe to eat in Bali but i wouldnt say its the best out of all fast food joints in Bali like McDoanld's etc. The service is ok i have had better in a real restaurant, they keep the place clean which is always good.In Kuta square they have only little space about 6 tables downstairs but when it gets really busy you have to head up the stairs to the second...

McDonald's Kuta Square: "There Is Still Comfort Food" Part 1

by hayley_69

Now when we say McDonald's every ones like yes all they sell are burgers, fries, desserts etc, but your wrong yes indeed they sell all the normal stuff you see in other countires like Big Mac's, Quarter Pounders etc but also being in a country that mojority of people has rice as there main meal, you can also buy rice and chicken drumstick or wings etc. Coming from Australia you dont get rice and chicken drumsticks or wings at McDonald's so when i first saw that you can get rice etc i was like that is very weird but unusual. Also they have a 60 sec Big Mac challenge which mean there is a timer in front of you when they tell you how much it is they flick the timer for you, then they go and organise your food, if they dont finish by the time your timer runs out which is 60 secs you win.You get to win a dessert called a Big Mac which in other words is not the burger its ice cream in either...

Mini Restoran: Alot Of Seafood For A Cheap As Chips Price

by hayley_69

Whilst seafood may be the main attraction here at Mini, there is a very large menu with just about all of the standard Indonesian and Chinese-Indonesian dishes. The tables are spread out through three large rooms, almost like separate restaurants. In the centre of the restaurant is a 'fresh fruit juice preparation area' that never seems to stop working, If you want to be different then try the Balinese favourite, Avocado juice. It arrives with a dollop of chocolate syrup poured down it's centre.Small ponds, full of goldfish and fountains abound, and together with the many electric fans, and the building's very high ceiling, do seem to keep the place at a pleasant dining temperature at all times.Dishes can be served with an assortment of accompanying sauces. You may select from a garlic sauce, a sweet and sour or even a wonderful chilli concoction. If you can't make up your mind on which...
