Lemon Grass: Not a nice thai experience

by Lyda1973

The waitress didn't explain me well about the dishes, wasn't helpful at all, so the meal that I ordered was nothing similar what I had in mind, besides was too spicy altough she told me that could prepared it with little spicy. The curry had only few meat peaces floating and some lemon grass, a sticky rice without flavor and a regular salad, I didn't even like the ice tea...

Hard Rock Cafe Bali: Chill out!

by Restless-in-kl

Had a 1-week training in Bali and we chilled out at Hard Rock Cafe every single night! So much so the guys at the door knew us and let us in right away even when there was a queue (being a group of gals helped too!).It's a great place to unwind with cold beer, finger food and cool music. After all the drinking and dancing, just walk out across the street and hang out at the beach. There may be some crazy surfers doing their thing on the waves if there is a full moon!Hard Rock Cafe has a big retail store for everything Hard Rock to satisfy even the most demanding collectors. This place has become an icon and should be on your must-see list! Buffalo wings and margarita yeah!

Drops Resto: Choices! Choices!

by Restless-in-kl

After a hard day of shopping in the sweltering hot sun, it's refreshing to discover this little restaurant on Jl Padma just off Jl Legian.Drops Resto is the restaurant of Casa Padma, a small cosy boutique hotel. Contemporary decor is the name of the day. There is a little terrace facing the pool that circles the hotel rooms where you can dine very close to the water. It's a nice quick stop for lunch or a leisurely dinner as its location is close to the beach, bars and shops. Caesar salad is great and so are the pasta dishes

Restaurant Fajar: Good Budget Lunch

by 31Aug

Food is everywhere in Bali. From local to McDonald's, to Italian. This restaurant serves eastern and western. Burger, steak, spaghetti, ... szechuan soup. It's especially popular among locals of Indonesia, and surfers.Inexpensive gooood (also staple) food. Szechuan soup. I've had better at a fancy restaurant, but for it's standard and price, it's good. I had it for three dinners in a row.I luuuuv the mango juice. Real mangoes. And the plate of rice (front in picture) is Java fried rice. A hearty meal.

Ku De Tas: Balinese Chic

by jasonimfeld

The food is great but it's the ambience that puts this place over the top. The decor & landscaping (it's all open air) are perfect ~& being able to lay out under the stars along the beach after dinner is what makes this place so special. The have an area with huge day beds where you can lounge along the beach, sip great cocktails & listen to great DJ's. By a landslide this takes first place in my list of great restaurants in the world :)

Maccaroni: Italian, SMAK in the middle of Kuta

by balisunshine

An Italian restaurantwith plenty to offer not only from its menu, but from entertainment and drinks, is Maccaroni. The couple of times I ate there,my taste buds were tickled with Mama Mia!This modern style restaurant, designed by the architect Giovanni D’Ambrosiaoffers classic Italian dishes.Late in the evening on Tuesdays and Fridays, the restaurant turns into a bar/loungeoffering libve entertainment and has a DJ spinning on Saturday nights. This restaurant also offers an Oxygen Baralong with free WiFi.Now, you can’t get any better than that!Price range of dishes are:Starters/Salads: 30,000 – 52,000 RPMain Dishes: 55,000 – 99,000 RpDesserts: 30,000

La Lucciola: Ocean Breezes at La Lucciola

by balisunshine

One venue that seems to always impress the new comer visiting Bali,is La Lucciola.Located right on the beachin Peti Tenget, this venue represents what most people would imagine of Bali. The venue itself is a two storey, open air bale, offering sea views and breeze. It is popular amongst the ex-patsfor Sunday breakfast. But La Lucciola offers lunch, diner, and has an adjacent barwhich is a perfect place to start a romantic dinner.La Lucciola has also been a favorite, for celebrating birthdays, anniversary dinners, etc.Prices are higher than the common Balinese restaurant, buy hey! You definitely get what you pay for here.

Mano Beach Side Café: Starting the day right

by balisunshine

A great restaurant to start your morningis an Mano’s Beach Side Cafélocated right infront of the beach at the Pura Peti Tenget parking lot.Located next to La Lucciola, but with prices much lower, this restaurant offers a basic breakfast menu.Their lunch menu is tastierbut also very economical. It’s easy to have a meal for just over 50,000 Rp.There are a lot of flies though, but ask for a candle to woo them away.Local newspapers are available to readduring your meal.
