KIN KHAO Restaurant: Thai Restaurant on Bali

by RoyJava

Looking for other Asian meals like the Balinese one then try the Thai food at the Jl. Kartika Plaza where is the Kartika Shopping Mall. You'll find this nice place when going for a walk from Kuta to Tuban. Maybe you'll notice the busy, cozy terrace of the KIN KHAO Restaurant which invites you to have a diner ... very nice service, Thai decorations and Thai famous smiles! We had Lad Mee Grob, delicious, Thai prepared prawns (for 42.000 Rp) and a great rice-meal Gai Pad Med Mamuang Himap (great names, too!). I finished with Tap Tim Grob, a Thai cendol (desert for one Euro). There is live entertainment and the singing lady was doing her job in a phantastic way, even I doubt it was a lady ...

BALI COLADA: Front Cover Of Discovery Mall Center

by RoyJava

A hot, trendy place to be ... and to have diner with sea-view. The place is crowdy, the area is quiet and peaceful. With your love you may enjoy the Bali Colada, and go for a walk on the beach after diner ... The "nasi goreng chicken" was great (fried rice with chicken), and loved the satey "ayam goreng" (fried chicken). There is a great assortment of dessert (cream caramel for me!).

Kafu - Kafu Restaurant: Garuda Wishnu Kencana

by RoyJava

In day-time temperatures can rise above normal tropical degrees at GWK Cultural Park. Not yet completed there's not that great accommodation to avoid the heat. Take a snack at Kafu-Kafu Bali Restaurant, it will surprise you ... We had a "nasi gebogan" (like nasi campur it is white, steamed rice with meat, vegetables, egg and crackers), and a "sate campur" (satay of chicken, pork and beef) with tumpeng/mount of white steamed rice. It was absolutely delicious, and we paid not yet 10 Euro (92.000 Rp, included drinks).

Bela Seafood Cafe: Jimbaran Seafood

by acebruin

The food was ok. Nothing superb, nothing out of the ordinary. It wasn't that great in fact. There wasn't a lot of variety in the sauce. Everything was grilled. Some were over grilled. There's only 1 restroom in the restaurant. It was filled with overflowed water. The floor was covered by water upto half an inch. The atmosphere was romantic. Candles were the only lighting around. In fact, it's too dark to eat seafood with.I'm sure the place is nice to hang out in. But for eating, I wouldn't recommend it. There are better seafood restaurants around. Nothing special.

anykind of resto with "babi" specialities: must try in bali 1: babi guling gianyar

by ukirsari

for everyone who can eat pork, trying "babi guling gianyar" [gianyar's suckling pig] is something a must in your bali culinary trip. refer to its name, the most famous of this pork eateries comes from the district of gianyar about 30 minutes ride from denpasar. but since already known nationalwide and maybe worldwide, you can find in several places in bali. the complete babi guling gianyar stand from several pork eateries. start from the soup as compliment [veggies boiled with pork's bones], then lawar [steam veggies with pork and fresh pork blood so called "lawar merah" or without blood so called "lawar putih"]. and the main course; roasted suckling pig with traditional spices and herb, sate lilit [satay lilit] made from diced pork, yolk and coconut shredded put onto bamboo, fried assortments from pork, pork's skin crackers and crispy pork's skin served with hot steam rice.

snacks shops and local markets in bali: must try in bali 3: kue gambir

by ukirsari

i like to address this small cake as "amazing" eateries. wrapped in bamboo leaf [something that can be said almost impossible since bamboo leaf have small hairy things at its layer but we'll never found it in the surface of the cake!]. and to enjoy what is inside of the 'bamboo wrapped in cubical shape', you should open more and more bamboo leaves before finally you find something made from black rice with diced peanuts and palm sugar in the centre. about the taste ... very smooth and sweet in the tongue. this is my fave snack in bali :)

anywhere in bali: must try in bali 2: breakfast with seaweed

by ukirsari

after babi guling gianyar, you should try this. local breakfast with several kind of fresh seaweeds [means it's really fresh from the water, without boiled nor steamed] and the taste is so fresh and hot. be careful if you have bali belly :)the menu in complete as follows: salad of fresh green and white seaweeds with topping chili belacan sauce, chili and lemon juice and fried peanut served with tupat [taken from indonesian lingo 'ketupat'. made from rice wrapped in coconut leaf]. and the assortments are fried eels and tum [means steamed into banana leaf] of anchovy with coconut shredded.

Adi Asri Restaurant: Makan!

by masonwong

We had lunch at this restaurant after visiting the Ubud art market. They serve continental food. I had a friend rice with chicken satay for Rp. 44,750 and a glass of mixed fruit juice for Rp. 7,750. The food was just ok. I like the breakfast at Matahari Bungalow more! ;PPak Putu, the driver, told us that the food there was less expensive compared to that of many other restaurants in that area. The fried rice is quite interesting though...

Sawasdheeka Restaurant: Thai Food

by yipsufen

This restaurant situated near to Legian street has a unique setting. Customers have to take off their slippers and climb up to a wooden hut and make yourself comfortable for the dining experience. It serves Thai food like Tom Yam soup, spicy seafood platter, Pattaya fried rice and some western dishes.Food is ordinary but I like the cozy setting and dining ambience here. Prices are reasonable.

Made's Warung: A Place Where People Meet

by yipsufen

Made's Warung on Jalan Pantai in central Kuta near the Bemo Corner has been an institution in Kuta since the early 70's. This has been the place to see and be seen for nearly 30 years. In the early days, Made's was the only 'after-hours' place in Kuta. One of the first places to cater to the foreigners when it was one of only two eateries on Kuta's main street. The service and ambience here are good with some soft and relaxing music. This is always been a popular hangout place for both tourists and locals. Still popular with its menu of local and international dishes and delicious desserts and a rijstaffel (rice table) on Saturday nights. However, you need to make one day advance booking for Babi Guling (roasted suckling pig). Their menu serves a wide array of dishes from traditional Balinese cooking, Indonesian mixed rice, Thai hot & spicy, Italian food to western fare. You are never...
