All around Bali, there's people who'll want to sell you something! Be sure to haggle down the price! Start with 25% or even 10% of what they're asking. Don't pay more than 50% of what they initially asked! Walk away and the price will drop with every step you take! It's a sport, and you'll get better at it with practice, but you're well behind the locals. ;) Leave a Comment Theme: Other

If you aren’t into walking into all the shops, taking off to try on and start all over again, a great spot to shop for all is the Surfer Girl Mall in Kuta. They have great sporty stuff. Daily wear and you can take off your clots at one go and try it all on! Plenty of sub- shops on a couple of levels. A great shopping experience made easy. And they take credit cards too. There are several shops that sell bathing suits. But one in particular has sexy, snug fitting bathing suits. Blue Glue! They sell retail and also wholesale. And they come in an assortment of styles and colors!

I'm not the J Lo type to go around worrying how my toes and hand nails look, as long as they are trimmed and clean... but for 30,000 Rp. why not? Give me a pedicure! If you go to the touristy spots, expect to pay more. If not, local price is cheap! You can call Jevsarah and she'll do the job chez toi! Or vist er at Galerias in Kuta at Yopie Salon. But bear in mind, these are rather simple pedicures, not like the ones that you find in the western world. Tel. 0813-213-60047 Leave a Comment Theme: Other

No need to worry if you did. Plenty of them for sale here. 15,000 Rp? 25,000 Rp? You get them dirt cheap here. But don't expect for them to last a life time. You get what you pay for. But if on holidays, you won't need them forever. They may be bit more expensive if you are in a touristy area. Prices mentioned above are Balinese prices. So, be smart, shop smart and negotiate the price. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

There are many sotres in the plaza some more expensive than others. It is a pleasant place to spend a couple of hours out of the heat. The department store upstairs sells a variety of things we have purchased crockery teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl , creamer all very reasonabley priced and packaged to bring straight home in our luggage.
Anything an avaerage department store sells. They sell clothing, sports gear, lingerie, sunglasses surf wear, souviners, linen & crockery.

Ther supermarket below the plaza sells just about everything you need while on holidays soap, shower gel, sunscreens, moisturisers, soft drinks, alcohol & water. We make this our first point of call to stock up on water and drinks it is much cheaper than the hotel mini bar.
I stock up on my toiletries to bring home as they are pretty cheap. There is also a souvenir shop with fixed prices much more than you would pay on the street but if you need quick souvenire without the hassle of bartering there is plenty of choice. Cool upmarket shop with some lovely pieces at very reasonable prices. Prices are fixed and not open to negotiation.
Things we have bought include large 3d silver Balinese wedding mask all framed, unusual coins all framed, clocks, photo frames, leather place mats, glass candle holders, and fabric place mats. Anything you buy will bo wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed ready to take on the flight home. They also sell furniture, crockery & cutlery but we found these to be a little more expensive.
The things you purchase here are much more upmarket than the stuff on the streets so the price is set and non negotiable but still well priced for things you wont see at home. All around Bali, shops and street stalls have gotten on the fake LV & YSL bandwagon. The shops have the higher quality 'fakes' and they are made of leather, the ones on the streets usually are not. The great thing about the shops is that they can make any style, colour, fabric bag you want within a couple of days. So many people from Australia have their particular shop that they go to. I would say ask around, via friends or from other VTers as it can be overwhelming when you get there.
Take a picture, from a magazine or photo and they can virtually reproduce it to prefection. So it pays to have a bit of an idea in mind before you go.
On the street for a non-leather bag about US$5 - US$10, depending on how hard you bargain. In a shop they're usually a set price (some will give you a discount for multiple purchases) around US$10 - US$20. Theme: OtherDirections: All around Bali
