Bali Tennis

by pianomany2k

Bali is a great place for tennis. There are hundreds of courts all around where you can play all year around. Many of the 5 star hotels have courts as well as quite a few 3 and 4 star hotels as well. The price for court rental varies greatly according to amenities but most are quite reasonable at 5-10 US$ per hour. The best time to play is in the morming or late afternoon when the sun is not so strong. It is usually very easy to find a hitting partner for a small fee. It is great to play tennis with an clean ocean breeze and then go for a refreshing swim in the pool or have a relaxing sport massage after. Almost every locale offers this. Of course bring your racquets and balls if you can and a hat and plenty of water. There are mostly hard courts in Bali however there are some clay courts in Nusa Dua and Sanur. The hard courts vary greatly in speed. Some courts are made with a cement...

Pool

by runwitme

Is pool a real sport? I don't know. Anyway..the reason I put it here is because I was amused by the signage. ; )Stumbled upon it in a local pub along Jalan Legian after watching the 2nd Anniversary of Bali Bombing Rally.

Surfing Kuta

by runwitme

I was told this Bali is a great place to surf. I have yet to learn how to surf so I can't really comment much. It sure looks fun.You can learn how to surf from many surfing schools around the beach area. Surf board can be rented for a cheap fee.

Beach Running

Great flat and seemly endless beach for running. Sand is compact so it is easy to run on. Best to run in the morning. You can pretend to be the Baywatch lifeguard running along the watermargin in slow mo..LOL. Jogging shoes recommended. Barefoot running is also possible.

BUNGY JUMP IN DISCOTEQUE? IT ONLY HAPPENS IN BALI

by I-Believe-I-Can-Fly

I heard about bungy jumping right on the beach in Bali but never check out by myself. The only one I saw was on Double Six Discotheque, where they place the tower right on the pool. Usually the actions took place during mid night while the crowds cover up the place, with loud music and people dance crazily.

MOTORBIKING TO THE BACK DOORS

by I-Believe-I-Can-Fly

For a small fee, hire the motorbike & explore the area. Take a journey down the hidden roads and forgotten valleys. It's an enjoyable way to see the real Bali.We rode along the route to the back alleys of Ubud. Along the way, local kids greeted us by saying "HELLO!", hailing their hands with big smiles. A very warm welcome to the heart!

FLY ME TO THE SKY

by I-Believe-I-Can-Fly

The best place to have parasailing are on the beach clubs in Sanur or Tanjung Benoa. We were on Sanur beach that morning but the power of the wind could not fly us. Instead, we went to Tanjung Benoa around 4 o'clock that evening. Many Taiwanese were waiting their turn to fly. It took about 5 minutes flying time and cost them about US$10. We tried to approach the guys who run the business; asking longer flying time. At the end, they agreed to give us 10 minutes time to fly for about 1/4 of the Taiwanese cost. What a bargain!

SOBEK

by I-Believe-I-Can-Fly

SOBEK runs the most popular white water rafting. The site located in Ubud area, but don't worry if you stay in Kuta/Sanur/Nusa Dua areas because the package included hotel pick-up and drop-off, lunch and gears needed. It was challenging to conquere Ayung River in Ubud which is graded at Grade 3.

Snorkeling in Lembongan

by shobhanaj

The waters are very clear and there is abundant coral and fish and in very shallow water. The fish are vibrant in colour and one sees all shapes and sizes. The coral is striking and you can spend a fair amount of time snorkeling. Goggles and snorkels can be rented. Nusa Lemongan gives them for free if you're staying there. The boat takes you to a spot about five minutes away from the beach. You dock at this platform built there and snorkel around the area.
