Jet skiing

by shobhanaj

Jet skiing is absolute fun, fun and more fun. You hire a jet ski either for 15 minutes or half an hour. If you're new to it or scared to go alone, the instructor will come along. They provide you with life jackets and the jet skies. Safety is high and they inform you which areas to avoid.

Parasailing

by shobhanaj

While on the beach, a quick activity is parasailing. It is a short ride and usually the entire process right from gearing up, instructions to parasailing and coming back takes about 10 minutes. The actual ride is just about 3-4 minutes. But this gives you a stunning view of the shoreline and the water. In places where the water is very clear, one can easily see the bottom. Of course, the thrill of soaring like a bird for a few minutes takes you on a high No equipment required to be taken. The guys who take you have everything in order. However, do bargain if you can, as a 3 minute ride can be for less than US$10. It is safe and accidents are rare.

Gunung Agung

by ivyngiam

3142m asl (highest in Bali)We started our trek late at night...abt 11pm..after catching only 3 hours of sleep. The trek is upslope all the way so be sure to condition urself before attempting this peak. All 3 of us failed to do that hence we paid the price with our dear knees..hheheThe bonus after that? a nice soak + massage at one of the spa resorts at Ubud... Oh ya..get a guide before u reach the temple...they are more experienced & charge less. A trekking pole will be useful cos it's up up up...all the way...

Mount Batur

by ivyngiam

(1717m asl)A smaller mountain...good for a warm-up before an attempt at Gunung Agung. The trek is short, takes about 3-4 hours. Guaranteed to make it to the top to see the sunrise if the weather is good. There's a small hut near the summit. Some villager boys will hike up and hard-sell their Coke to the hikers (at a higher price of course ).

Can you tell me ?

by cadzand

As I was walking in the undeep laguna behind the reef, I suddenly stood eye in eye with this animal. First I thougt it was a snake....but after a while I calmed down and saw there were hundreds of them slowly grabling some food from the bottom of the sea. Still I don't know what kind of "snake" it was. Do you know ? Please tell me.

Walking in the undeep sea or snorkeling ?

by cadzand

This was my very first starfish ! And I could touch it.... really soft. As the Sanur Beach Hotel is situated in front of a lagoon, it's easy walking during several hundreds of meters in very undeep water and have a look at the flora and fauna.

Do you like this boats ?

by cadzand

Be sure to make a trip with one of these boats with or without an engine. It's a great experience. They are waiting for you on the Raddin Hotel Sanur beach, as they are on many places along the beach. Go for it !

Bike Tour through Bali

by DirtyRudy

Try taking a bike tour around Bali. It's really nice if you want to go see some of the off-the-beaten-path areas. The tour I went on took us to the top of a mountain so all you have to do is ride downhill. We got to see a lot of temples and villages along the way. We went to farms, plantations, and on one occasion I was almost killed by a flying chicken. Fortunately, i was able to duck and the chicken flew right past me and into a passing truck. When I looked behind, all I saw was feathers... Bikes, helmets, and gloves are provided on some tours.
