See my tips for "Must See Activities".There are 2 main dive sites here: The Liberty Wreck and the Drop Off. You won't be bored if all you do is dive the wreck: Once you negotiate a short stretch of beach (about 75m if you're staying at Tauch Terminal), the Wreck lies just 40m offshore in 35m of water. It's a pretty BIG wreck and a big pretty wreck too. You'll find tons of critters including octopus and leaf fish and a resident school of jacks. We stayed at Tauch Terminal and they provided all the gear which was in reasonably good condition and quality. Although the water is warm you may wish to bring along your own steamer wetsuit as there is some "fire coral" and the resort provides only shorty wetsuits. Or just exercise good bouyancy control and you'll be fine.Bring along a partner or some other entertainment or else their nothing else to do at night!

Diving at Menjangan

by tommix

Bali is not considered as a diving destination, so my expectations were not extremely high... And I was surprised! Menjangan Island in Taman National Park is a very good diving spot. During the first dive we met mantas! The divemaster from YOS Marine Adventure Club was very symphatic and with a good sense of humour. Definetely - it was a good experience! I had my ABC equipment. All the rest was rented from the local dive club. Suit, BC, regulator - all in a very good shape.

Parasail at Your Own Risk!

by DirtyRudy

There are lots of places on any beach on Bali where you can find a company ready to give you a good time... I mean, in a sports kind of way.We went parasailing on the beach, and we were able to haggle it down to $5 USD for 5 minutes. Unfortunately, it was only one minute long! Make sure you remember to negotiate payment terms and make them stick to it! Parachute and other equipment provided. Sometimes they can look terribly old and used, but it's still good. Parasail at your own risk!

Snorkeling in Bali...

by kikiree

One of the 'must do' items on the island is snorkeling!!! arrggh... colorful tropical fish, corals, beautiful sun and the sea... All provided by the snorkeling company. Recommendation: always pack your own snorkeling/diving equipment because those provided there were a bit used and not working properly (googles)

Biking in Bali

by kikiree

We took a tour with a local biking company in Bali. Basically that was a 2 hour biking, up and down the hill and going through the rice/padi fields. A good way to see the 'real' bali living other than tourists attraction places...They took us up to the top of a mountain and had breakfast there before starting the journey. The view from top was amazing... All provided by the biking company.

Wacky Water Sports

by TiNkSta

If you've never tried water sports before then find a tour guide to take you to Nusa Dua (on the opposite side of the island from Kuta beach). Here you will find a myriad of things to do from parasailing to snorkeling and fishing. An absolutely awesome day awaits you here and all at a reasonable price. All equipment is provided - just bring yourself and your swim suit.

Snorkell with the waves!

by Dreks

Snorkelling was much fun because i was given biscuits to feed to the fish by our 'boat captain'. Fish of various kinds and sizes were rushing towards me and enjoyed their feast. I wish i had more to feed them as it lasted in less than a minute and not a single trace of their food was left. The waves were a bit irritating while i had my snorkelling gadgets on but it was total fun when i had it removed and swam freely like a fish. It was tiring but look at the smile painted in my face!

Fly High

by Dreks

I never thought parasailing would be much fun until I tried it myself for the first time. At first, my breathing was racing against my heartbeats but when I started flying and floating everything was just fantastic up in the sky. And like “everything that goes up, goes down” and so I was. It wasn’t that scary except for some few concerns that I might land in the trees or in the rocks. With proper concentration as to what to pull and when to pull the strings of the “parachute” I landed perfectly in the sand. It’s worth repeating over and over again! I had one wish though…. that the support/string they put in between and around your legs would be more male-friendly 'coz it hurts at some point – if you know what I mean. :)
