The Pengosekan entrance (from the restaurant) is my favorite entrance. The beautiful landscape welcomes you with abstract sculptures here and there makes me want to just sit on the ground and enjoy the beauty of the garden. But be strong, you're in the museum and you must see what's inside the museum.
Oh, they have a great collection of paintings from all era divided into several different houses. They have collections of Walter Spies, La Mayeur, Arie Smit. Another must-visit place.

O, btw. they also have dance performance like one in the palace. Check with your hotel for the schedule, but I think theirs are on Mondays.

This museum hosts a permanent exhibition of fine paintings by famous Balinese, Indonesian and foreign artists. Most of the exhibitions are of contemporary art. Photography is not allowed in this museum. When you are there, a guide will show you around the gallery. Once the tour is over, we gave the guide a small token for his time.
Besides the art exhibits, there is also a theatre for classical dances and performances. The museum is surrounded by gardens and flowering trees, with fountains and cafes - all in Balinese concept.
