Ubud and all of bali is extremely horrible!! People just empty their trash bins into the street I have been to more then 40 other countries and bali is by far the most dirty and disgusting place I have ever seen! I understand they are poor but that does not mean you have to live like a pig. DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!

On the other hand people there are very friendly. But that is the only good thing about bali. Save your money and just visit your local garbage tip if you are thinking of going.

Ubud market is strategically located in the heart of Ubud town. It's a big and busy market - filled with lots of wet and dry stuff. You can practically spend the whole day here if you are a shopping maniac! The place consists of a compound for sundries and foodstuffs and also a 2-storey building lined with small stalls selling all sorts of wares. Clothings, batik, arts and crafts, bags, shoes, T-shirts, accessories, souveniers - you name it, they have it. You can get a good bargains here. Make sure you have an extra bag to carry all those goodies back!

More pics attached on the wet and dry market.

    Market in Ubud

We visited this small market in the center of Ubud and found it a lot cheaper than Kuta. But remember to bargain, fex a fake Breitling watch , from 250000 and finally after bargaining 75000 rupiah - in Kuta from 600000 to 250000, and that is for the same watch! Normally you only pay one third of the price.
